Hi, Coach Bob here to talk about Contentment and the feeling of contentment.

I almost didn't know what this meant until recently. This weird feeling has come over me more often lately. I kind of don't know what it is and how to deal with it, but I think it's being content.

What is contentment?

What is contentment? It's peaceful, less drama, and less rushed. It’s feeling a little bit more relaxed.

Why is it a good thing?

Why is contentment a good thing? It's more fun and it elevates your mind. I'm thinking and feeling more important things rather than urgent ones. I’m tapping into my heart, getting into wonder more and just feeling enjoyment.

Also, I am being calm, not only for myself and my family but for my team. If I'm high drama, everything's great or everything sucks, excitement and energy are not always good for everyone. So as a Visionary, I know my enthusiasm and passion are a big asset, but it also can be a deterrent and distracting for me and for others.

How do I get it?

How do I get to contentment? Scheduling time for myself. Making time for myself. I call it “I” time. I do my Take 5 Check-In™, and my 331™ Tool. It's gratitude. It's appreciation, it's shifting the conversation, flipping attitudes, and shifting my mindset.

How do I get there?

How do I get there? It’s about being in nature more often and watching the sunrise. I was in Florida this week and I was like “Oh, that's so great to see the sunrise over the ocean” and it is nice that I just watched the sunrise over the city, from my office.

Make time to experience nature, walk in nature, hear nature, feel nature, and maybe even walk barefoot in the grass. Just appreciate, even if it's not perfect weather, appreciate the wind and the sun and fresh air. Also, movement is a big way for me to have contentment, so I'm not all pent up. I'm just letting a lot of it go.

So this is a new feeling and I kind of like it. It's kind of scary. Yet, it's part of evolution, the next stage, and the next season. Believe me, I'm still going to have a lot of passion and excitement. Contentment once in a while is not a bad thing.

iM Coach Bob, have a great day. Peace.
